Homeschool Field Day

The last Friday in October, we met up with some friends from a local homeschool group for an event called "Homeschool Field Day."  Davis and Jackson, I knew you would love this, since you both looked forward to Field Day at school all year long.  Our family was assigned to the Blue Team, so we all wore blue shirts.  It was a chilly, rainy day, but that did not stop anyone from having fun!  There were kids of all ages participating, and it was neat to see the big kids helping the little ones and everyone showing great teamwork.  Carter, you won the football distance-throw for your age group, which sure made your big brothers proud!  Daddy was running a little late, but he got there just in time to be assigned as Jackson's partner in the water-balloon toss.....and guess who won that event?  ;0)

Once the scores for all of the events were tallied, the Blue Team came out on top!  We celebrated with a picnic lunch, yummy desserts, and ribbons for everyone.
What a fun day!

Love,
Mommy
