101 Reasons I Love Your Mommy

Hey kids, last year your mom wrote a beautiful post on Father's Day called "101 reasons I love your Daddy", so I'm returning the favor today on Mother's Day. This list could be 1001 reasons or 1,000,001 reasons, but it would take too long for others to read! :0) Needless to say, I'm pretty crazy about her, so give her an extra big hug this Mother's Day!

1. She loves her God with all her soul, all her mind, all her heart and all her strength
2. She knows Jesus personally
3. She loves you as much as any mother could possibly love her children
4. She has a heart of gold
5. She is the most beautiful wife I could ever ask for
6. She's married to me!!!
7. She's an aspiring Proverbs 31 woman
8. She's a very successful Proverbs 31 woman
9. She has more compassion towards children and animals than anyone I know
10. She is a diligent worker
11. She writes this blog about the wonderful, funny, silly and great things ya'll do
12. She enjoys most of my cooking… ;0)
13. She enjoys most of my jokes
14. She laughs at some of those jokes, too!
15. She loves family
16. She loves her friends
17. She has been an active member in her women's Bible study
18. She gives the best hugs ever
19. She has the sweetest voice on the phone when we talk to each other
20. She is very concerned for the safety of our family and friends
21. She puts her priorities in the right order…ok, most of the time ;0)
22. Her job(s) is/are a true calling from God and she does not ignore when He beckons
23. She will do ANYTHING for you four
24. She will do ANYTHING for her mom
25. She will do ANYTHING for her family and friends
26. Most of the time, she will do ANYTHING for me…. ;0)
27. She gets startled very easily and doesn't kill me when I take advantage of that
28. She puts up with my character defects
29. She comes up with nicknames on the fly and they usually are so good and cute, that they stick (see 71-74)
30. She is planning to home school you - thereby she is very concerned about your education
31. She clips coupons weekly
32. She saves us thousands of dollars a year - see Proverbs 31:14, 16, 18
33. She's not afraid of cutting the grass
34. She enjoys church
35. She reads a lot of books - I wish I had that kind of attention span to read like her
36. She calls me randomly throughout the day
37. She lets me play golf and do other "guy" stuff when it is appropriate
38. Your mom has taken ambulance rides with two of you
39. She delivered one of you via c-section with no anesthesia - not intentionally, but she did do it
40. She has spent countless hours in doctors' offices and therapists and hospitals for you guys
41. She is a very brave woman
42. ..and yet, she is scared of rats
43. ...and of bad weather
44. We love a lot of the same music
45. She loves her southern delicacies like Sweet Tea, Fried Pickles, Biscuits, Fried Green Tomatoes
46. She LOVES Chick-fil-A
47. She respects people like Truett Cathy
48. She one day wants to live in Madison, GA
49. She loves to go eat Greek, Mexican, Chinese and Italian…okay just about any food…with me
50. She loves azaleas, gardenias, magnolia, daffodils, dogwoods and other Southern plants
51. She shops at Thrifts Stores and enjoys a great deal! - see number 32
52. She is very organized about the things she is passionate about - see her pet adoption work, working from home, garage sales, this blog, etc
53. She would rather live in the country than the city
54. She is a home-body, but she does enjoy vacations with you and get-aways with me
55. She has her favorite blanket that she sleeps with every single night
56. She finds creative ways to clean up spills, stains and messes
57. She rarely accepts "No" for an answer
58. Did I tell you that she loves you guys?
59. She is a very loyal friend
60. She is not afraid to speak her mind

63. You guys may get frustrated when she calls you in from outside before your other friends go in, but its because she is looking out for the best for you

66. She is a fan of the Duggars
67. When she sees something scary on TV, she watches through the cracks between her fingers as her hands cover her eyes

69. She and I have been together 16 years this October

83. She thinks you four hung the sun, moon and stars - yet still exhibits great boundaries in her role as your mom
84. She's the best hand-holder in the universe
85. She's a doctor without a degree
86. …a therapist with no suffix after her name
87. …a hard worker with no union card

89. …a chef whose restaurant is at home

91. She's a believer in good things to come
92. She sees the value in a penny saved, yet also knows you "get what you pay for"

95. She may not always show it, but she has a very caring heart- I pray all of you fully understand that as you grow to know her better
