Our first week of summer vacation ended with a trip to the strawberry farm! B tagged along with us, and in one hour's time, we picked three gallons of berries! We had a friendly little competition going to see who could fill their buckets the fastest. Davis and Jackson were "The Boy Team," Tori, B and Mommy were "The Girl Team," and Carter was on a team by himself -- "Team Carter."
I am happy to report that The Girl Team won by a landslide! We'll just pretend that the win was not influenced by the fact that The Girl Team had more members than the other teams! Poor Carter had only about 15 strawberries collected by the time the rest of us were finished, so we all pitched in and helped him fill his bucket to the brim. We are going to be eating strawberries for days.....yummy!
After the berry-picking, we played on the farm playground and tree-swing for a little while.
It was a SWEET afternoon!
